چکیده
The Bezout-Dixon resultant method for solving systems of polynomial equations lends itselfto various heuristic acceleration techniques, previously reported by the present author [6], which can beextraordinarily effective. In this paper we will discuss how well these techniques apply to the Macaulayresultant. In brief, we find that they do work there with some difficulties, but the Dixon method is greatlysuperior. That they work at all is surprising and begs theoretical explanation.

Mathematics over the Internet/Web: A Protocol-based Approach
The Internet Accessible Mathematical Computation (IAMC) framework aims to make it easy to supply mathematical computing powers over the Internet/Web. The Mathematical Computation Protocol (MCP), the core part in the IAMC framework, enables developers to create interoperable clients and servers easily and independently. Presented are the specification of MCP, and the design and implementation of...
متن کاملBuilding IAMC: A Layered Approach
Internet Accessible Mathematical Computation (IAMC) is a distributed system to make mathematical computation easily and widely available on the Web/Internet. The architecture and implementation of a framework for building IAMC systems are presented. Protocol layers, allowing any well-de ned encodings for mathematical data, connect the IAMC client (Icl) and server (Isv). An external engine inter...

An experimental setup is designed to detect composite delamination damage based on ultrasonic infrared thermography. The ultrasonic infrared thermography system is composed by ultrasonic excitation system, infrared thermal imager and data acquisition system and two damaged composite plate specimens are produced in the experiment. The image processing methods including thresholding, filters, edg...
متن کاملActivation of Wnt signaling reduces high-glucose mediated damages on skin fibroblast cells
Objective(s): High-glucose (HG) stress, a mimic of diabetes mellitus (DM) in culture cells, alters expression of a large number of genes including Wnt and NF-κB signaling-related genes; however, the role of Wnt signaling during HG-mediated fibroblast damage and the relationship between Wnt and NF-κB signaling have not been understood. In this study, we aimed to investigate the ffects of Wnt sig...
